PTO NEWSLETTERS

Dear Montessori School of Westfield Parents,

Our thanks go out to all the parents that came to our PTO meeting on September 7th. We have a good number of parent volunteers that signed up for our upcoming fund raisers. It’s going to be a great year for the PTO and we hope to raise enough funds to give a sizable amount to each classroom at the end of the year!

This month we have many events:

· Get ready for Ben & Ari’s Family Fun Night on Sunday, October 7th beginning at 3:00 pm. Flyers were sent home in your child’s backpack. Please get in your RSVP’s soon to enjoy this very fun event.
· Mark your calendar & get your babysitter lined up for Saturday, October 20th at 6:30 pm! We hope to see all of the parents, & any friends or family that may be interested in coming, at our Wine Tasting Fund Raising Event! You’ll be able to sample a variety of wines from Whyte Horse Winery and we’ll also have some imported beers as well. They’ll be appetizers and desserts, great music and lots of GREAT conversation! You’ll have the opportunity to purchase any of the wines that you sample. Stick around for the silent auction too. You won’t want to miss this fun evening without the kids!!
· We will be launching the Script Program later this month. Thank you to Laura Cederdahl for volunteering as committee leader. Script allows you to order gift cards to various retailers, restaurants, grocers, gas stations, etc. through the school. By doing so, the school receives a percentage of the amount sold. This a wonderful program and we have learned through some of our parents that other schools that use this program have had great success with it. A flyer about the program & the order form will be in your child’s backpack next week. Extra order forms are available at the front canopy & on our website.
· Also in your child’s backpack, is an order form for fall Spirit Wear. Be sure to get your orders in no later than October 5th.
· Our next fund raiser will be the Bittersweet Candle Sales. Alison Garber will be heading up this event. Watch for more details later this month.

Our next PTO/Parent Meeting is scheduled for Friday, November 9th at 6:30 pm. This will be a PTO Meeting/Movie Night. This is a great way to participate in the PTO, while your children are having fun at movie night! Cost per child is $7.00 & pizza slices are a $1.50 each. Your involvement is very important to the school. The children benefit greatly from your input. You won’t want to miss this meeting!
