PTO Newsletter May 12, 2009 Dear Montessori School of Westfield Families, As we move toward the end of 2009, we would like to thank all the families for everything they have helped with thus far, including snacks, classroom help, arrival and dismissal, and so much more.  Keep doing what you are doing!  We were recently reviewing a binder with some of the old PTO newsletters and many of the past documents from the PTO.  We want to share with you the mission of the PTO for The Montessori School of Westfield:                         The PTO is a service organization for the families and teachers of the Montessori School             of Westfield that is organized to enhance the educational and communication             environment. Our last PTO meeting was a wonderful example of a way to fulfill this mission.  There were many great suggestions and ideas for our future.  This has been a learning year with many new PTO board members, but we hope that we can continue to enhance the educational and communication environment in many ways.  Another way to accomplish this mission is to raise money and we have been doing just that!             Art to Remember          $250 Book Fair                        $713 Chess                             $1100 Flower Sale                    $3200 Pizza                                $2400 Spirit Wear                      $180 Wine Tasting                  $4745             Total Approx.  $12,500!!
