PTO Newsletter May 15, 2006 Dear Montessori Parents, What a wonderful school year we have had! The PTO Board would like to thank all the parents that came to our meetings/movie nights and volunteered to help with our school fund raisers. We’ve had such generous financial donations for the new playground equipment, families coming to the aid of the Hurricane Katrina victims, and much, much more this year! Each fund raiser that you supported has helped the PTO provide funds to each classroom for new materials and class trips. So again, thank you very much! The PTO is such an important part of the school. Our mission is a peaceful and purposeful relationship between parents and teachers; united together to enrich the Montessori experience for all children. Thanks to your support this year, we’ve fulfilled our task! A few reminders: It’s still not too late to order a Yearbook DVD. Attached is an order form for your convenience. Just complete it and put in any PTO folder with your payment. Then watch for your DVD in your July packet from the school! Those who ordered spring spirit wear will be receiving their orders by the end of May. Over the summer, we encourage you to continue to find ways to enhance the PTO by giving us feedback & ideas for fund raisers. Our first Parent/PTO Meeting for next year is tentatively scheduled for Friday, September 8th. We look forward to seeing many of you there! Have a great summer break!
