Dear Montessori School of Westfield Parents,

Welcome back! The PTO Board is gearing up for a busy 2008 with some fundraising events! In order for our PTO to be successful, we really need your help! Parent volunteers are critical to our success. And remember, this helps fulfill your required 10 hours of volunteer time per child.

Our current fundraiser already in progress is the Little Caesars Pizza Sale. Forms were distributed right before winter break. We hope that many of you were able to encourage your family and friends to support our fundraiser! Order forms are due no later than February 4th. Please contact John Stephan at estephan03@gmail.com if you are able to help with pick up and sorting on February 7th.

Kristi Boyle has again this year, graciously volunteered as the committee leader for the Spring Fling. We need several parent volunteers for this event, which is scheduled for May 4th. We need help with flyers, registration, games, set up/tear down, etc. Please contact Kristi at imfireball@earthlink.net to sign up for this fun event. Last year was totally AWESOME!

The Script Program resumes on Monday, January 7th. Gift cards make GREAT Birthday, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Graduation gifts, just to name a few! Order forms are available on our website.

At the beginning of the school year, we discussed doing a paper yearbook for the 2007/2008 school year. In order to make this fundraiser happen, we need a couple of parents that are willing to contact vendors and get some information (including pricing) for us. Then we can make a decision on whether or not the fundraiser is worth pursuing. Please contact Allison Garber at garbers@insightbb.com if you are able to volunteer for this fundraiser. All information should be submitted to Allison by our next Parent/PTO Meeting.

And speaking of our next meeting, it is scheduled for Friday, February 1st at 6:30 pm. This is also a movie night for the children.

Here are the details:
PTO Meeting – 6:30 to 7:00 pm – Elementary 1 Classroom
Toddlers – 6:30 to 8:00 pm ONLY – Toddler Room
Children’s House – 6:30 to 9:00 pm – Downstairs
Elementary – 6:30 to 9:00 pm – Elementary 2 Classroom

Your children must be picked up by the times stated above in order to avoid a late pick up charge. The late fee is $1.00 per minute, per child for each minute past the stated pick up time.
