Mary’s Message – December 2009
would like to wish a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and your families. As our joy increases the closer we get to Christmas, we remember how thankful we are to live in a peaceful and safe environment.
DATES TO REMEMBER
January 1: Tuition Due
January 4: School Resumes
January 4: Science Fair Topics Due (K-8th)
January 15-18: No School (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.)
I would like to give a big thank you to all of you who contributed to the Coat drive, Amanda Strong Food drive, and the Channel 6 Toy Drive. We reinforced the message to the children that it is better to give than to receive. The happiness on their faces from their giving was immeasurable, and we saw it every time a child brought in something to donate. I heard from many parents, thanking me for teaching and modeling this invaluable lesson. When you start young the children receive the message in a bigger way, because as we know, everything is enhanced the younger you are.
I would also like to thank all of you who participated by buying at the Scholastic Book Fair. We made around $650, plus a mother in CH 2 gave a $500 donation. This same mother gave $500 to the wine tasting event. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!! I may be redundant in saying this, but "I have the nicest, caring parents."
Please remember the Science Fair info went out last week. The kindergarten through 8th grade must have their topic in after the first of the year.
The pizza forms are due Friday, December 18th. There will be no changes after January 18th.
Your invoices will be sent by email over the break. The aftercare will be a separate invoice, also. Tuition will be due when you return on Monday, January 4th.
Bill and I thank you for the trust and love you bestow on us throughout the year. We wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
May God Bless all of you!!!!
Mary
