May Birthdays
Birthdays are very special in Montessori. We create a timeline of your child’s life from birth to their present age with photos from home. Snapshot-sized photos work best for our poster format. Birthdays will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. or at 12:30 p.m. on or near your child’s actual birthday.

Anna Sumski turns 6 on May 24th.
Happy Birthday, Anna!

Spring Fling
Sunday, May 2nd, 1:30-4:30 p.m. at Forest Park in Noblesville.
If you plan on attending this year’s Spring Fling, don’t forget to register and turn in your ticket money. I’ll be there with my family. Hope to see everyone!

Kindergarten Graduation
Come and congratulate the Kindergarten Graduates of 2010 at this year’s ceremony at 7:00 p.m. on May 27th. Kindergarten parents please watch your email for more details coming soon!

Last Day of School
Children will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 28th. There will be no aftercare that day, due to the school picnic at 12:30 p.m. at Cool Creek Park. Please pack a lunch, pick up your children promptly, and head for the park! Teachers will arrive shortly.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Thank you to all families for providing nutritious snack foods for the children all year long. They really enjoy serving themselves at the snack table every day.

**Suggested reading for parents, Optimum Nutrition for Your Child’s Mind by Patrick Holford and Deborah Colson. “This evidence- based guide will show you how to choose the right foods (and avoid the wrong ones) to optimize your child’s mental and emotional well-being. Nutritional authorities Patrick Holford and Deborah Colson have worked with hundreds of children - with problems ranging from ADHD and aggression to autism- and have advised schools on using nutrition to improve attention and classroom conduct. Here they use scientific studies to explain the physiological effects certain nutrients have on the way children think and act. They will show you what to feed your child and what supplements to use to:

  • Develop concentration and focus
  • Enhance memory
  • Boost IQ
  • Improve mood and behavior
  • Strengthen reading and writing

You will learn tips for preparing concentration-sustaining breakfasts, snacks with low glycemic loads, amino acid-rich lunches, and smart-fat dinners- getting your child off to the best start in life physically, mentally, and emotionally.” --Taken from the back cover.

Have a Great Summer!!!
